Diospyros lotus
This unique fruit tree, often called the Date Plum, produces small plum-like fruits with a rich, sweet flavor that develops as they ripen. The fruit is golden to reddish-purple when mature and has been enjoyed for centuries as both fresh eating and dried for storage. Trees reach 20–30 feet at maturity and are hardy, attractive, and long-lived. More than one tree is recommended for reliable pollination and fruit set. | 30 Non GMO & Heirloom Seeds Per Packet | Grow a Date Plum Persimmon Tree from seed and enjoy a unique fruiting tree that combines rich, sweet flavor with ornamental beauty in your home garden or orchard!

Planting Instructions
Cold stratification improves germination. Soak seeds in warm (not boiling) water for 12–24 hours. After soaking, place seeds in a plastic bag with equal parts damp peat moss and sand. Store in the refrigerator for 60–90 days, checking periodically to ensure moisture levels are maintained.
Once stratification is complete and sprouts appear, plant seeds in pots with rich, well-draining potting soil, root-side down about 1 inch deep. Keep soil moist but not waterlogged, and place in a warm, sunny location.
As seedlings grow, transplant them into larger containers as needed. Trees should be at least 1–2 years old and 3–4 feet tall before moving outdoors. Once established, Date Plum Persimmons will provide delicious fruit in 4–6 years and thrive for decades in the right environment.
